Selena Gomez tried out TikTok’s version of the Magic 8 Ball—its viral “why am I single” filter—and he actress shared a clip of her waiting for its answer. When it suggested that it was because she had “bad taste,” Gomez couldn’t hide her shock. She made her displeasure known in the caption, too. “Well thats rude tik tok,” she wrote.
She then tried its “what are my red flags” filter, which was a little kinder. “Just to make it fair,” Gomez captioned the clip of her finding out her results. “They missed a few [though] lol.”
Gomez hasn’t kept her single status a secret this summer, with the Haim sisters noting that all the girls at Taylor Swift’s Fourth of July party, including Gomez and Swift themselves, were currently single.
Gomez doubling down on her single status comes after she made headlines for unfollowing her last rumored love interest Zayn Malik in June. They were romantically linked in March when they were reportedly seen kissing during a dinner date in New York City, but they were never seen publicly again after that.
It also follows The Daily Mail reporting on unverified celebrity gossip Instagram DeuxMoi’s user-submitted tip that seemed to suggest Gomez was dating the newly single star of The Bear, Jeremy Allen White. Fans speculated the two of them could have been together because Gomez had finished filming a project in Paris, and both stars appeared on Vanity Fair’s Hollywood Issue this year.
Gomez asserting she’s single further shuts down that rumor.
