We have to admit: Mid-October is a lull when it comes to scoring sneaker sales, since it falls right after Amazon Big Deal Days, and weeks before Black Friday, when the biggest markdowns actually drop. But if you’re itching for some affordable Hokas now, we’re happy to report that there are some decent discounts on the King of Cushion across the internet, if you know where to look.
We’re seeing the most consistent Hoka running shoe sales at Dick’s Sporting Goods, which has the Clifton 8, an older (but still great!) model of Hoka’s marquee runners. “These shoes are all about balance–neutral stability and just the right amount of cushioning,” said MH Fitness and Commerce Editor Talene Appleton, NASM-CPT in her testing of the Clifton 8 and 9. “They’ve become my go-to for everyday runs, no matter the distance.” Also on discount: the Gaviota 4, which our editors say has a great blend of stability, cushioning, and killer looks; and the Anacapa Mid, an ultra-chunky hiking boot that offers plenty of grip, and a water-resistant shell for those rainy fall treks.
If you’re on the hunt for the latest Hoka styles, Zappos has a small discount on the Carbon X 3, which our editors dubbed the brand’s best shoe for racing long distances. “These kicks offer a stable and remarkably smooth ride that’s easy on your feet for race day,” Appleton said. “It’s also a relatively budget-friendly gem in the realm of super shoes.”
If you ask us: We think the biggest Hoka discounts will probably drop closer to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but if you can’t wait until then, these low-key deals have you covered.
